The History of LotU

The origins of LotU has many roots in a clan called the Defenders of Sovereignty, that saw many of its current leaders once upon a time serving as Defenders since as early back as 2002.

Once upon a time in DS around December 2006, a game leader by the name of Boba Fett had a feud with the clan JAG, Freeze. This feud lasted a while until one day forces conspired against Fett. Freeze took the opportunity to remove Fett from the leadership. This sparked an exodus. The resulting split would later become known as a clan called The Resistance.

he Resistance saw a short but full life of about 9 months before it merged with another DS breakaway clan, Dark Entity. This was initially started by TR_Suki and -=DE=-Dan, but would only be seen through by a joint effort between both Clan commands in secret after a failed first attempt. The clan that came of this merger was known as the Dark Resistance. (-DR-) became a power house with games across 3 genres, including FPS games, RTS games and MMO games. At its apex, (-DR-) was 10 times more active and twice the size DS ever was and larger than both -=DE=- or TR could ever have foreseen.

Early in 2009 Suki, then a (-DR-) clan Leader, developed a grudge between himself and Fett and subsequently, a number of other Clan leaders and higher ranking officials. The feud that followed resulted in Suki's exodus when forces conspired against him. A few members followed him, old friends from DS and current ones from TR, even some -=DE=- faces. The exiles formed a new clan, called Legions of the Underverse which was founded in Feb 2009. The new clan was on the rise when yet another exodus was sparked as a result from a feud between Suki and James in October of 2009.

Half of LotU followed James to form Empire of Eternity while LotU never fully recovered. Early in 2010, Financial forces caused LotU’s base of operations to be shut down. A despondent Suki, decided to disband the clan. Days later, he handed the domain and assets over to the newly appointed leader Fatal Impurity and the remainder of the LotU leadership while taking a break from the clanning scene to allow the clan to continue despite his absence.
